Editorial policy
Effective 13 October 2026. This policy describes how Veneran develops and maintains informational content.
It applies to articles, guides, interviews, event notes, images, newsletters if introduced, and corrections. The policy is designed for an editorial publication based in Indonesia that values clarity, context, and respectful language over pressure or sensational presentation.
1. Purpose
We publish clear, humane material about movement, rest, food, and men’s everyday wellbeing. The publication favors context over drama and practical understanding over pressure.
Each piece should give a reader enough framing to understand its subject, limits, and date. We avoid presenting an illustrative routine as a universal instruction. Editorial usefulness may mean explaining uncertainty, not eliminating it.
2. Selection
Topics are selected for reader usefulness, public interest, and fit with our editorial scope. Commercial requests do not automatically become editorial assignments. We may decline subjects that require individualized handling.
Editors consider relevance to the publication, available source material, cultural context, accessibility, and the risk of confusing information with personal guidance. A proposed topic may be reshaped into a general explainer or declined when responsible treatment would require private assessment. Selection does not promise publication.
3. Sources
Editors seek relevant, current, and understandable sources. We distinguish research, professional commentary, and lived experience. Uncertainty is retained where it matters rather than hidden by confident wording.
Source notes are checked for date, authorship, scope, and whether a conclusion is supported by the material cited. We prefer primary or institutional sources where appropriate and identify when a passage is an interview or personal account. A source may be revisited if a correction, withdrawal, or material change comes to our attention.
4. Contributors
Contributors disclose relevant conflicts and write within their experience. Editors may request clarification, supporting material, or a correction before publication. Contributor opinion is labeled as such.
Contributors are not asked to disclose unnecessary private details about themselves or others. Editors may remove identifying details, seek permission for quotations, and decline material that cannot be verified or safely contextualised. Payment or a partnership does not determine the editorial conclusion.
5. Language
We avoid sensational claims, stigmatizing descriptions, and pressure-oriented sales language. Content should respect culture, age, ability, privacy, and different resources.
Language should be plain without being patronising. We avoid fear, shame, unrealistic certainty, misleading urgency, and unsupported comparisons. Translated or adapted material is reviewed for meaning and cultural fit rather than treated as a word-for-word exercise.
6. Corrections
Material errors are corrected with an update note when practical. Readers can report an error through contact.php, describing the page, statement, and source of concern.
We aim to acknowledge a report within 7 calendar days and review straightforward factual concerns within 30 days. Minor wording improvements may be made without a formal note, while material factual changes should identify the update date and general nature of the correction. A correction is not removed merely because it is inconvenient.
7. Updates
Core pages are reviewed annually, with priority given to legal, safety, and time-sensitive information. The review year for this policy is 2026.
The review checks links, dates, sources, disclosures, accessibility, and whether the wording still reflects the publication’s scope. A page may be reviewed earlier after a complaint, source change, regulatory development, or significant event. The current policy was issued on 13 October 2026.
8. Partnerships
Paid or sponsored content is labeled and kept separate from independent editorial judgment. Partners cannot require a particular conclusion in an editorial article.
Commercial material is reviewed for clear identification, factual support, destination quality, and respectful presentation. A partnership may be paused when its claims, landing page, or disclosure changes. Readers can report an unclear label through the reader desk.
9. Privacy
Editorial correspondence and contributor information are handled under the Privacy policy. We limit collection, use appropriate retention periods, and avoid publishing private information without a suitable basis.
Requests to correct or remove personal information are acknowledged within 7 days and ordinarily answered within 30 days, subject to applicable law and the need to preserve an accurate public correction record.
Review, correction, and reader contact
Before publication, editors consider whether a statement is supported by the source, whether its limits are visible, and whether the language could be read as a personal promise. Dates, names, quotations, translations, image descriptions, and links are checked where they are material to understanding. A later review may add context without changing the original publication date; a substantive correction is identified near the affected passage or in a correction note.
Readers can report a factual concern, attribution problem, accessibility barrier, conflict of interest, or unclear commercial label to Jl. Pahlawan Seribu No. 8, Sektor 4, BSD City, Tangerang Selatan, Banten 15310, Indonesia, or +62 813 6745 9021. Please include the page title, relevant passage, source if available, and a way to respond. We aim to acknowledge reports within 7 days and provide a decision or progress update within 30 days. We retain correction correspondence for up to 24 months after closure and keep a dated record of material changes for editorial accountability.
Veneran may use external hosting, email, analytics, image, or document services to operate the publication. Those providers are given only the operational information required for their role and may process it outside Indonesia under applicable contractual or organisational safeguards. Sponsored material remains subject to the Advertising and partnerships policy, and a commercial relationship does not control independent corrections. This policy was reviewed on 13 October 2026 and later material revisions will be shown with their effective date.
